C’est maintenant qu’il faut vraiment s’accrocher : après la grosse vague de festivités de la fin d’année, arrive cette période qui, à côté, paraît désolante : moins festive, températures plus froides, amis fatigués, bourses épuisées,… C’est donc ce moment où on balance entre espoir (rapport aux résolutions qu’on a prises) et désolation (rapport à la réalité de notre état physique et mental)…

Bref, on tente de ne pas couler. On sort ses boots, ses grosses chaussettes, son damart et on y va… Les propositions ne foisonnent pas, mais ceux qui ont pris la peine de nous concocter quelque chose méritent largement notre attention et notre visite, tu ne crois pas ?

Théâtre : Franklin le Mannequin Présenteert La NpN @ Bar Eliza
Le Bar Eliza accueille la jeune troupe bruxelloise La NpN pour une pièce qui nous parle d’école, d’adolescent et de confrontations sociales. Fait intéressant : toute la communication étant faite en néerlandais et en français, je suis incapable de te dire dans quelle(s) langue(s) la pièce sera jouée. Ce qui pique forcément ma curiosité !

Concert : Théorème / Ventre De Biche @ HS63
Si tu aimes les ambiances un peu sombres, un peu expérimentales, un chouïa alternatives, faut aller au HS63, ce mercredi soir et découvrir les deux groupes proposés (en collaboration avec les Mariniers) : Théorème et Ventre de Biche. Que dire d’autre ? J’en sais rien : j’ai écouté les sons, ça m’intéresse. Je connais le lieu et les organisateurs, ça me donne une idée du type d’ambiance, donc a priori j’ai assez de motivation pour enfin sortir de mon canapé et traverser la ville jusque là…

DJ set : Bonnefooi invites FRoNTAL w/ Jay MNG – DJ Vega – DJ Proceed
Hip Hop set au Bonnefooi jeudi soir, histoire de taper du pied et de balancer la tête en rythme et faire monter la température du corps. Si tu aimes ce type de son, ça me paraît un bon choix…

Expo : How To Paint a Horse I Superdeals Weekender
Ah, ça fait longtemps que j’ai pas été à Superdeals, un project space dans le bas de la chaussée de Waterloo (vue sur Porte de Hal). On va apprendre à peindre un cheval avec les explications des artistes Anastasia Bay, W.H.Cooper, Matthias Dornfeld, Tom Król et Walter Swennen. L’événement n’explique pas grand chose de plus. Je ne peux même pas te promettre qu’il s’agira de peintures. Ni de cheval.

Concert : Waterworld Night @ Péniche Eliane
La Gommette Noire organise un concert sur la péniche Eliane ! Trop cool d’autant qu’il y aura Orage Plastique dont je viens d’écouter les deux “Work in Progress” de leur dernier album proposé sur leur bandcamp et je kiffe grave. En live c’est toujours mieux, donc imagine. Perso, il n’y a pas moyen que je rate ça : je traverserai la ville au péril de ma santé nasale pour aller me faire caresser le fond des tympans par ce son…

Dans la liste des autres groupes et sets proposés, il y a aussi Thom de Global Hybrid (et Fanfara Electronica), dont j’aime beaucoup le son et d’autres noms que je ne connais pas. A l’écoute des morceaux, tout cela est bien éclectique et promet une bonne petite soirée comme je les aime, dans un lieu très sympa !

Soirée : Strictly Nicenness Resident Night @ La Bodega
Cette semaine, je ne  mets pas trop l’accent sur les soirées où aller danser… mais si tu es dans ce mood-là et que tu cherches quelque chose, il y a quelques idées, et parmi elles la mensuelle de Strictly Niceness.. Température bien chaude assurée…

Soirée : Epicerie Moderne presents New Ghetto in Town
J’avoue avoir été surprise en appuyant sur la touche play du mixcloud d’un des deux DJ’s de la soirée à l’Epicerie Moderne, samedi soir : sons groovy, dans un lieu qui appartient généralement à la planète électro. J’ai interrompu la rédaction de l’article le temps de balance un peu mon corps en rythme… ça le fait.. J’ai envie d’être là-bas samedi…

It is that time of the year where we must really hang on: after the wave of festivities, comes this period which seems desolated: less festive, colder temperatures, exhausted friends, empty purses, … It is this moment when we balance between hope (and still believe the resolutions we just took) and desolation (reality check with our physical and mental state) …
In short, let’s try to stay put and not sink in desperation. We gonna wear those winter boots, our warm socks, our damart even and we’ll go out… The proposals are not abundant, but those who have taken the trouble to concoct something to us deserve our attention and our visit, don’t you think?

Theatre: Franklin le Mannequin Présenteert La NpN @ Bar Eliza
The Bar Eliza welcomes the young Brussels troupe La NpN for a play that tells us about school, adolescent and social confrontations. Interestingly: all the communication being done in Dutch and French, I am unable to tell you in which language (s) the play will be played. What necessarily stings my curiosity!

Concert: Théorème / Ventre De Biche @ HS63
If you like slightly dark atmospheres, a little bit of experimental, in an alternative venue, you must go to the HS63, this Wednesday evening and discover the two groups on the line up: Theoreme and Ventre de Biche. The evening is in collaboration with the Mariners. . What else can I say? I do’nt know: I listened to the sounds online and I’m definitely interested to check them out live. I know the place and the organizers, it gives me an idea of the type of atmosphere, all this is giving me enough motivation to leave my cosy sofa (finally…)

Exhibition: How To Paint a Horse I Superdeals Weekender
It’s been a while since I haven’t went to Superdeals, a project space in the lower part of Waterloosteenweg, with a view to Hallepoort. We will learn how to paint a horse with the explanations of artists Anastasia Bay, W.H.Cooper, Matthias Dornfeld, Tom Król and Walter Swennen. The event does not explain much more. I can’t even promise you that it will actually be paintings. Neither the presence of any horse….

Concert: Waterworld Night @ Péniche Eliane
La Gommette Noire organizes a concert night on the Eliane barge! And that’s good news as there will be a live set of Orage Plastic. I just listened to their two “Work in Progress” tracks from their latest album proposed on their bandcamp and I seriously fancy it. Knowing that the live set is always better, you can imagine how it would be. Personally, there is no way I’m missing this: I will walk accross the city at the risk of my nasal health to get my dose of caress in my ears…

In the list of other groups and sets, there is also Thom of Global Hybrid (and Fanfara Electronica), and I also like very much the sound he plays. The other names on the list: I don’t know anything about. Listening to the sounds available online shows that the offer is very eclectic. A promising evening in a chill venue…
