Agenda 12/02/2014 – 15/02/2014

En lisant les titres des évènements de la semaine, je trouvais que les mots “love”, “amour”, “célibataires” et autres concepts shamallow étaient assez récurrents. Ma première réaction a été de demander “Love ? What’s That ?” me la jouant cynique et blasée, genre…

Et puis, je suis presque tombée en amour pour James & Black et Nicolas, ce qui faisait tout-à-coup beaucoup d’amour à donner en une fois !

Et je ne suis pas la seule à avoir des amours plurielles… Mr Wong m’annonce tout de go et sans prévenir qu’il aime Issa Maïga, Rafael Munoz et Tirambik.

Ah oui, c’est le moment où je t’annonce que cet article n’est qu’une multitude de jeux de mots pourris autour des évènements sans les expliquer vraiment mais qu’en anglais je suis un peu plus descriptive !

Enfin bref, tout ça pour dire que force m’a été de constatér que j’étais ouverte pour de nouvelles choses, voire un nouvel espace dans mon coeur…

Là, certains encore plus cyniques que moi, seraient tentés de parler d’ouverture anal (ouais carrément)… et de rajouter que cela aurait l’avantage de me procurer un bon Eargasm (non, mais de quoi ils se mêlent ?).

Mais je préfère ne pas répliquer, le terrain est glissant ! Plutôt que de me frotter aux âmes Libertines, je préfère donc m’accrocher à cette idée – un peu folle – que “Love is in The Air”et demander autour de moi s’il y a quelqu’un qui voudrait danser et faire de moi une nouvelle romantique….

Bon, jusqu’à présent, faut bien l’avouer, certains ont beau chanter “Bruxelles Ma Belle” et même le faire sur un beat Hip Hop, l’amour n’emplit pas tous les coeurs…

Je t’assure, c’est dur parfois de tenter de jouer au porte-parole – voire même au Woordvoer histoire de toucher le plus grand nombre ! – cela ne marche pas vraiment..

Pire, quand tu te balades dans certains quartiers de la ville – celle qui se revendique surtout Capitale de l’Europe – cela parle de réunions d’Actionnaires.

A se demander si ces gens ont d’autres type de relations…

Ou alors tu entends parler de fusion ou acquisition … mais ils disent “Merge” parce que ça claque plus en anglais, forcément !

Dans ces moments-là, je me dis que je vis plutôt à Bruxhell …  et je fais un gros blackout sur ce qui se passe autour de moi…

J’oublie un peu toutes ces laboratoires de créativité qui habituellement me font chaud au coeur.

En conclusion, la Saint-Valentin j’ai envie de lui répliquer d’aller se Freak’in Rock’in où elle veut, mais loin de moi (de toute façon, je me casse à Berlin demain !). Bref, de me foutre la paix, j’ai pas envie de jouer…

For the Valentine’s week-end, it seems that the gifts come from all the people who organise something in this town… the agenda is so full… it get me sick… as I’ll be out of town and won’t be able to attend any of those things!

I’ll try to point out my selection within the selection – as usual all the links and days are at the end of the article!

This Wednesday night, I like the sound of this band playing at Roskam.  Just listen to to music video…

If you prefer discover some experimental sounds, then go near the Canal (already an experience of its own) for Kafeta Anal + et Rodolphe Coster.

Tomorrow, the Bodson Gallery has an exhibition’s opening of work of Nathaniel Rackowe in the brand new venue ! To be discovered…

If you look for small cine-club, you’ll have to check the Smala cinema. There’s a projection of two movies this Thursday during an evening called Love ? What’s That ?

Then, you might be interrested to attend the Actionnaires #9 Pan European  with Judah Warsky, a guy who seems to love Brussels!

If you want some electro sounds, there’s always the Dali’s Bar on your way to Delirium café… and while saying that I’m just hoping you’ll loose the way to the Delirium and skip it completely!

Go to the Bonnefooie for example: there’s a good hip hop party “Bruxelles Ma Belle et son Hip Hop feat. Ligne 81 / L’Or du Commun / Supafly Collective / DJ Fabot”.

And then here we are on Friday… If you’re curious to get to know some of the many creatives minds of the city, you should then go for this small party “Moneke au Labokube” in the studio shown on the video :

For once, I believe that the bests cultural offers of the week are both … in Laeken!

The cultural center has an event called “Point-Barre #12 Velours”, with a punk play, a performance and a Rock garage concert… check the details, but a company called “Les Putes” can only offer a very punky way of theatre, indeed…

Another event I would have love to go to is the Hiphop Café with several dutch speakers hip hop bands; Stikstof feat. DJ Vega, Woordvoer, Cage, KLBR, Kryhmes, De Haa

In the Flagey neighborhod, you have a DJ set at the Flip and the Play Label Showcase at the Café Belga, which is promising!

If you want to party, the alternative/artsy scene of Brussels would probably go to the MergeParty, while the ones who love electro would try the Libertine Supersport in a brand new venue called Bloody L

In the Sablons area, you can try the Love is in The Air party at Club Clandestin or downtown, the more joyfull (which means “gay”) party Dansez-vous New Romantic ?

And of course, Mr Wong has always something going on…

Saturday, you’ll be able to party in a studio in the heart of Ixelles, and the place is big enough to have about 200 people, so it’s great for the BlackOut party with Kid Machine & Adam Black  or to party in a boat if you prefer some reggea Danc Hall party!
